Biography

Dr. Rider is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Allergy-Immunology at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) and a practicing clinical immunologist at Liberty Mountain Medical Group. He serves as Chair of the LUCOM Division of Clinical Informatics which engages in research, education and in the development of a learning health system along the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Dr. Rider’s overarching aspirations are to improve the health, well-being, and outcomes for patients with allergic and immunologic disorders via compassionate, patient-centric care via current best practices and the refinement of healthcare systems.

Dr. Rider was raised in northern Pennsylvania but he and his family are now grateful to call Virginia’s Blue Ridge home. In his spare time, Dr. Rider enjoys doing just about anything outdoors, is an avid cyclist and a long-time practitioner of Japanese Karate Do.
