ONMM

Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Manipulative Medicine

Our specialists in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Manipulative Medicine (ONMM) offer a unique approach to healthcare and work to support the body’s innate healing ability, taking contributions of mind, body, and spirit. We use a team-based approach including medical students and residents, to optimize the delivery of specialty care to patients and their families.

ONMM specialists start by collecting a thorough medical history followed by a hands-on evaluation of the musculoskeletal system. We evaluate the body’s bones, joints, muscles, connective tissues, vasculature, and nerves to gain insight into each patient’s underlying health and physical function. A personalized treatment plan is then developed, according to each patient’s needs. Treatment recommendations may include exercise prescription and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Treatment (OMT); a series of gentle manual techniques, to restore proper joint alignment and improve mobility, circulation, and nervous system function.

ONMM can help patients of all ages and backgrounds and is used to treat a wide range of clinical conditions including:
